.New Pit. The old Pit was burned to the ground and his owner beaten to death, but rumors of a New Pit (opened by the defunct's wife) have started to circulate. Smurf will do everything in his power to get to the bottom of it, and end it once and for all..The Little Voice. Smurf's guilt manifest, The Little Voice takes on the appearance of him as he was in the Pit and whispers words of self-loathing. Should Smurf listens to it fully, it will take over and bring destruction on a grand scale.
.Parentage. Smurf inherited a broken horn, found in the body of his dead bio mother when he was found as a baby on the Limsa Lominsa decks. Said horn emanates void energy, and Smurf is trying to figure out who it belongs to (and if they can shed some light on what his lineage is)..Cake. Adopted several years ago and very dear to Smurf, the small tapir named "Cake" absorbs his dreams and lets him sleep without nightmares. However, his aetheric signature is all over the place and extremely strong for a creature that small. Worringly strong.

.Personality. A force of nature, unbreaking and horribly stubborn, Smurf lives to live, to an extreme extent. He will drink, love, fight, and look for adrenaline wherever he can find it, the mundane and the calm scaring him.Almost infectious in his enthusiasm, he will welcome with open arms any person seeking help or companionship, be it for a day or longer. He will prioritize the safety of the people with him above all else, and trust them with his own life, to an absolute fault. Both a great quality, and a terrible default.Absolutely no manners can be found in the man, part because of his upbringing, part because being imprisoned for a good chunk of his young adult life has made him un-learn how to behave like a proper person. He is prone to blurt whatever crosses his mind at any given time.There is, however, one rule, on which he will not budge :Don't kill anyone..Abilities. Smurf is in all aspects a regular guy, and likes to consider himself like so. He's tougher and stronger than the average joe, and can sub as a tank in a party if the need arises.His aether consumption is higher than usual, as he releases it faster than the norm due to a genetic upbringing. He eats a lot to compensate the fact, and is a comfortable reservoir of aether for people to draw upon.Originally self-trained as a pugilist, he switched combat styles after traumatizing events in his life, both for therapeutic and practical reasons.He is taught in Free-Form Kriegstanz by one of the best dancers in Eorzea, and his version of it involves close melee range, breakdancing and rogue elements. He prefers to be up close and personal in combat, but makes a point to buff and protect whoever he's with at the moment.

Leto grew up with Smurf and left the orphanage early to start her monk training, which ended up in her becoming the Warrior of Light. It was her who found Smurf in the Pit and freed him, and the two share a strong connection (partly because they're shards of the same soul).

Toon grew up in the same orphanage as Smurf and is something akin to a real brother to the Au Ra. Both of them will always have the others back, and the Viera often shares secrets and contacts he obtained through his cleaner job. Because of that, Smurf has good entries in illegal places and secret dealbrokers.

Originally meeting him to ask questions about the strange horn he inherited, Smurf entered an agreement with Morrog and lets him experiment different potions on him in exchange for information. The both of them ended up with feelings for each other and started dating.

Smurf found (i.e stole) the small tapir on one of his contracts, outrageously adorned and shivering in a rich ishgardian woman's front garden. Tapirs eat dreams and Smurf is plagued by nightmares, so a mutually beneficial relationship has formed.

The world-renowned dancer has taken Smurf under his wing and taught him a very free-form approach of the Kriegstanz. The training was horribly tough and unforgiving, but both men keep a very amicable relationship and Smurf will often ask the Elezen man for advice when their paths cross.

Aergswys found Smurf as a baby on the docks, and has raised him in the orphanage she manages since. Piling up several jobs to keep it afloat, she wasn't always present, but has always tried her best to give food and shelter to the children. Smurf visits her often, gives almost all of his earnings to her, and allows a small amount of nagging in exchange.
The Past
.Childhood. Some children are born with a silver spoon in their mouths, some are not. Smurf was found as a baby on the Limsa decks and brought to the very small Kett Orphanage.His childhood was a curious combination of extreme hardships and incredible joy, both for very different reasons. The Au Ra may have had bad luck in his upbringing, but he met some of the people he considers like his true brothers and sisters, up to this day. Bonds are paramount, unbreaking, and necessary for survival.Older, when the orphanage couldn't support him anymore, he had to make by with any odd job he could find. From heavy lifting to general companionship through thievery, any opportunity was a good opportunity, and his frame grew massively through the combination of puberty and extreme exercise. The cockiness began to show, and the fights also became more commonplace. Smurf started to become quite good at fighting, in a pure street brawl sense..The Pit. That was his demise. His build and skill attracted the attention of an illegal fighting pit owner, who approached him with the promise of easy money, to later effectively keep him prisoner. Fighting was now all that Smurf had to do, every night, every day. Several years passed of that, before an opportunity, a riot, and the Au Ra finally bashing his master's head in. The whole place burned, the Yellowjackets were involved, but there was no trace of Smurf left. Now a new man with trauma to handle and an extremely hedonistic view on life, he picked up a new skill, found his old friends back, and tries to make an honest living.
The Present
.Warrior of Light. After taking care of himself and his mental health, Smurf decided to join his sister Leto (at the time the Warrior of Light) in the liberation of Doma and Ala Mhigo. He served as an honorary Scion during that time, aswell as the events in Shadowbringers and Endwalker. It was in those years that they both understood they were shards of the same soul, and could sub for each other, if one wouldn't be able to. Leto took the opportunity to retire after the final fight with Meteion, and Smurf now wears the mantle of Warrior of Light in his travels to Tural.
Things he has done instead of his sister in general canon includes :
- the rivalry with Zenos,
- the visit to Amaurot (to bring a dying Leto),
- the handling of Radz-at-Han during Endwalker (Leto went to the Moon),
- Zero's arc,
- Dawntrail and beyond..Azem. A free-spirited enigma, Lachesis (otherwise known as Azem) has traveled far and wide and was incapable of staying in place for a very long time.
Their shards all share a deep love of wanderlust, a dislike of procedures and rules, and a stubbornness so intense it could make gods comply (and it did).
They decided to leave Amaurot during the Final Days and to make their own way towards a solution, a solution no one knows about so far.
I exist only as a whole; my only claim is to be natural, and the pleasure I feel in an action, I take as a sign that I ought to do it.

I'm a 35 year-old dude living in Europe who likes photography, movies, music, and crying in Blender for several hours.
This Carrd isn't really a means to RP, but more of a place where i can assemble all of my ramblings and pictures related to Smurf ; i tend to post a lot of different things on different places, and maybe this will be more convenient to read than to go on a treasure hunt for big purple lizard lore.
